The utopia EP is dedicated to Joke Hermsen, an inspiring dutch author, and philosopher. She gave me the inspiration to think and dream of my ideal world, which I imagine through music. Jeroen van Vliet gives my compositions wings on the piano. Maarten Vos created the wonderful dreamt sonic landscapes for the pieces 'She dreamt an exceptional life' and 'Beyond the horizon'.
To give the listener hope I would like to share this quote by Joke Hermsen :
'We see hopeful initiatives everywhere if we look closely around us. And we hear more and more people asking for a sustainable, social and inclusive society. Now is the time to turn the tide.' '
I'd like to invite the listener to imagine their own dream world, to think the impossible in order to go beyond the horizon and reach your promised land .. with belief, hope, love, and a joie de vivre, dreams may come true - Anne Vanschothorst
